I'm here!

Hell yeah! Now I have 4 Slowdive albums and 4 Placebo as well. I was a bit worried that I won't find HMV (bug music store in England), but It followed me everywhere! In Bristol, then in London, in Oxford and in the airport too. I'm extremely happy.
The trip to England was amazing, I really want to go back.

This song will remind me of good time I spent there.

Elisa

Actually, I wanted to dedicate this post to this awesome album which I discovered a few days ago, but, anyway, I don't know what to say about it, so I just write here some words about one of the saddest songs ever.

Why I think that it is one of the saddest songs ever, when I even don't know what he is singing about?
Well, not only because of melancholy tune but because of scene from one of my favourite films.
This song is played by busker with his little daughter sitting next to him.

And pretty Vanessa Paradis is looking through her child's things.

And thinking about how to kill her dad.

...

Hello everyone!
This month wasn't successful in searching new music.
Mostly, I spend it searching new Slowdive's stuff and I found Albatross, Ambient (alt. version) and much more, but unfortunately I have heard all their material they made for their short period and now all I have to do is just enjoy this material and wait for news from the Mojave 3.

I have a great opportunity to buy their albums in the near future and I try to find where I can do it.
I was very dissapointed because there aren't many places where their albums are on sale. It's because a) slowdive are not popular b) they broke up in far 1995 c) the main reason is that CD disks are gradually becoming out of fashion because people prefer to buy music from the Internet.
Anyway, I know that their albums are available on ebay.com and amazon.com, so I don't worry.

I have a great opportunity to buy their albums in the near future and I try to find where I can do it.

omg, it's my dream.

Ok, let's forget about Slowdive for a while and finally go to other bands.

I  recognize my favourite "I'll be yours" in this song:

This song is performed by Faye Wong but as far as I know originally it is performed by Cocteau Twins. As for me, Faye's version is way better.

The other band I enjoy is The December Sound. My favourite song is "Il forte":

...

The best thing I heard for this month:

When silence falls
And light remains
And time is born
Beneath the sun...

Since my Pink Floyd obsession I found a lot of nice music in many different genres, but the track above is a real masterpiece. It reminded me about missed Swans concert. According to some reviews the concert was awesome. I'm so jealous. Nobody knows when they will come again and will they even come again... But I try not to feel blue and hope for the second chance.

Today I was really exited when I read some good news about Mojave 3. Neil Halstead (ex-Slowdive, now Mojave 3) told that the band is going to record new album this year. Their last album "Puzzles Like You" went out five years ago.

And now my other findings:

In my opinion, very underrated band which deserve many more listeners.

Ok, industrial, shoegaze, what's next? Japanese noise rock.

All in all you're just another brick in the WALL

The past Roger Water's show with "The Wall" made me remember about Pink Floyd and their amazing music. Now I almost don't look for something new and gradually dig all Pink Floyd's albums one by one. I'm really falling deeply in love with their adorable music.

Guitar solo is outstanding.

I came across Pink Floyd 3 times: at first, I heard Comfortably Numb and liked it, later I found High Hopes, Coming Back to life, Lost for Words, Wish you were here and another couple of songs , but that's all. And now I really understand their awesomeness.

I enjoy The Division Bell, but I also like very much their old stuff with Syd Barrett. Pink Floyd with Syd and without him is like two different bands, and both of them are worth listening.

I wish this would be your color

I never thought that I would listen to industrial (as well as I never thought that I would listen to someone except Britney Spears when I was 9). But, fortunately, that time has gone and now I am not interested in Britney at all.
Well, it will be better to say that I've just discovered industrial and I know a few bands who play in this genre. One of them is Einstürzende Neubauten. (as I know it is "percussion industrial").
Enjoy.

Summer is coming

Nicotine, Valium, Vicodin, Marijuana, Ecstasy and Alcohol
C-c-c-c-c-cocaine

You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire

Continuing the pills theme...

And the recent discovery:

It's kinda strange that I haven't heard their other songs besides "Where Is My Mind". I like Sonic Youth and Pixies are shown in similar artists on SY's page. I had to notice it earlier.

Slowdive

I remember with happiness that day when I listened to Slowdive for the first time. I fell in love with Rutti and Crazy For You immediately.
Rutti reminds me of one of my favorite Placebo songs Bubblegun, thats why Rutti became my favourite song too.
Rutti is a slow dive in dream. (c)

There are two versions of this song (2nd is the demo version), but I prefer the album version.

Both this songs are from Pygmalion. I think, Pygmalion is their best album because it is less shoegaze and more dream pop and ethereal. Nevertheless, Souvlaki is considered as their best album.

Thank God I found Slowdive.

Loser

Swans and The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble are having a concert in Moscow but, unfortunately, I can't go bacause of some circumstances. I'm really upset, because missing Swans as well as TKDE is craziness...

Favorite music videos part 1

Today I want to post some videos I live very much.

One of the best music videos I've ever seen.

Haha, crazy but I like it :D

I am very grateful to Nokia, because this video was on my old phone.

I like videos which are connected with traveling.

SY

Ok, finally, it's time to post something here.) And "something" will be... Sonic Youth.
I learned about them after I read that it is the one of Brian's favorite bands. Then I listened to some songs and suddenly I stumbled upon Superstar. I've definitely heard it before, but I couldn't (and even now I can't) remember where and when I hear it at the first time. Besides Superstar I also download Bull in the Heather.
Later, I heard awesome songs such as Shadow of a Doubt, Pink Stream, What We Know, The Diamond Sea, Dirty Boots and so on.
Today's songs are:

Tunic (Song for Karen) and Anti-Orgasm

P.S. Sorry, I have some troubles with online-players and I'm trying to solve the problem ;)

Blind

I think Why? has something similar to TV on the Radio. I can't say what exactly is it, maybe vocals, maybe the atmosphere of music, but it needs to be heard anyway.

D#4: The Innocence of Sleep

I am a big fan of Placebo instrumentals.
Many of them, like Leeloo, Hug Bubble, Ion and others are great, but I consider The Innocence of Sleep as their masterpiece. It's breathtaking.

And I have no more words to describe my feelings when I listen to it.

The Innocent of Sleep is from Pure Morning (CD 2).

D#2: The Dolly Rocker Movement

By the way, vocals reminds me of David Bowie. :)

D#1: Scarlet Diva

I've recently watched little-known film "Scarlet Diva", which was produced by Asia Argento. There was some unreal moments and music was picked up quite successful.

Here is the music from this fragment:

Moreover, at the end of the movie, I heard a fantastic song "Wild is the Wind" by Nina Simon.
